The design reflects Parkwood Mennonite Home’s aim of providing emotional and physical well-being in a home-like setting. Parkwood’s Mennonite cultural values are strongly rooted in the rural landscape of the surrounding farming communities. The architectural response employs timber framing to create a ‘link’ from the building to the people who pass through its’ doors.

In addition to the long-term care project, MMMC also completed the 84 senior assisted living/rental units, and 18 garden homes for this continuum of care facility.
