Bennett Village’s vision is to create a full continuum of care campus on a 5 acre site on Halton Hills Drive, Georgetown. Currently there are 66 LTC residents who live in Bennett Centre, co-located with the Georgetown Hospital in leased accommodation. Bennett Village desires to redevelop a new 64 resident LTC home to meet the MOHLTC Standards on their Halton Hills site. A future addition of 32 residents and a future seniors supportive housing development are also anticipated. Combined with the existing ‘Gallery’ Life-Lease independent living building, Bennett Village’s campus will provide a full continuum of care.

The Campus Master Plan was completed from March 2017 to July 2017 and involved consultation with the municipality on the site context, specifically the future development plans of adjacent developers, the Civic Centre neighbourhood master plan and the preparation of technical site reports for site plan approval. MMMC organized the study work plan into five work sessions involving the Bennett Village Steering Committee. MMMC’s use of BIM provided 3D massing of site options and the relationship of major programmatic elements allowing committee members to easily understand site concepts.
