The new Anselma House opened its doors in May 2011. With 45 beds, this is the largest women’s shelter in Ontario.
Extensive planning of this $8M specialized facility ensures that it will meet the needs of the women and children it serves. Design features include extensive security, home-like environment, inter-connected bedrooms, child’s play area, teen room, meeting and counseling rooms, secure courtyard with play structure and vegetable garden, and more.
Built on a 1.7 acre greenfield site, the location is ideal and provides easy access to transportation, recreation and shopping.
