History
MMMC Architects celebrates 65 years of practice in 2025. The architectural practice has roots in the founding firm of Mark Musselman McIntyre Architects started in 1960 in Brantford. Lawrence Combe joined the firm in 1964 managing a Toronto branch office of Mark Musselman McIntyre and Combe Architects. Gilbert Mark, Gerald Musselman, Donald McIntyre and Lawrence Combe were classmates and graduates of The University of Toronto School of Architecture.
In 1986, Craig Newsome, also a graduate of The University of Toronto School of Architecture, joined the practice. In 1989 the partnership was incorporated under the firm name MMMC Inc. Architects, preparing for the firm’s evolution under Craig’s leadership and succession upon the retirement of the founding architects. Mark, Musselman, McIntyre retired in 2000-2003. Lawrence Combe is no longer active in day-to-day projects but continues to assist the firm with occasional design and master planning.
Today, MMMC Architects is led by Craig Newsome and a team of dedicated and creative Project Architects, Intern Architects, BIM technologists, Contract Administrators, Business Development and Financial professionals.
