Haven House Women’s Shelter
Women’s Crisis Services of Waterloo Region (WCSWR) operates two emergency shelters for women and children experiencing domestic violence.
Haven House accommodates up to forty five women & their children providing safe shelter, education, prevention and outreach services. It is a specialized residential care facility where resident’s stay is up to six months in duration while they are provided counseling, life skills training, and shelter from abuse. The unique building program is designed around a secure outdoor courtyard offering gardening and recreation.
MMMC was the architect of WCSWR’s sister shelter, Anselma House, located in Kitchener.
