Master plan and design studies were completed by MMMC to obtain funding to provide Six Nations with a Youth and Seniors’ Recreation Centre to be built between an existing Community Centre and Arena facility. The proposed new Centre is 39,400 square feet and will link both existing buildings to provide a unique campus of sports and recreation activities for the Six Nations community.  The new facility will house a Youth lounge / games room, and computer lounge / cafe/ administration offices and meeting room, a multi-purpose seniors’ room, a double gym with two high school and one NBA basketball courts, operable wall, spectator seating for 400 patrons, and sports lockers and change rooms.

The Youth and Seniors’ Centre is fronted by a newly created public courtyard that will function as an outdoor youth activity area, and special events ceremony area.  This exterior courtyard further links the three buildings together into one cohesive campus.
